Book (p)Review: Silent Sons

Silent Sons

My own therapist, Mary Lou Smith, recommended this book to me.  It’s a little older – 1993 – but it seems to me to be still relevant for men who grew up in dysfunctional families and learned to suck it up rather than express their feelings directly.  Especially for men who are not particularly psychologically insightful, but whose pain is starting to get too big for them to handle – erupting unexpectedly in rage, for example – it can be a good first step toward introspection and emotional flow.
